Christmas is in the AIR

So this weekend Dustin and I got to decorate our home for the first time for Christmas!! I was so EXCITED I just could not wait! We went and bought some decorations and lights and went at it! We put up our tree and stockings and a few little things we picked up, then we put up lights on the outside of our home. I felt like such a little kid again! It was so much fun putting up the decor and I enjoyed doing it together and spending that time together! So we are now ready for snow! ;)

Thanksgiving

So this was the first year that I have hosted a Thanksgiving dinner! I have to say that it turned out amazing!! I was so nervous that my Turkey might not turn out, but It was so moist and tasty! Thanksgiving this year was with Dustin's Family... We ate dinner and then went and saw Four Christmas's... I really enjoyed the movie, I thought it was really cute!

But since it was Thanksgiving I just want to say that I am so THANKFUL all the things in my life. #1 for my loving HUSBAND, that I am so blessed to have in my life and the one that I am going to spend the rest of my life with, and all the I have been provided with. I am also grateful for MY FAMILY, Starting with Josh and Megan who have become our closest friends, we love getting together for dinner, movies, and just chillen, and not to mention our doggies are BFF's, Then there's Kirsten, she is not afraid to express herself, and I admire her so much for that! She shows me how strong I want to be. Then Elder Jordan Roberts, I look up to him so much right now, he is such a silent, strong, confident young man, who I miss dearly. Then MY little Camille, She is too much a little Carrie! She keeps me laughing all the time, she is such a sweet girl!! My little Camel! ;) Which brings me to my Parents, I always think back to the struggles that we had during my teen years, and I know it happened for a reason cause we are so close now!! I have such a deep respect for them! I love my parents so much and I am grateful that they kept me in line!! I couldn't have been blessed with a more loving family!

I also have been blessed to have added a whole other set of family to my life. Kris (Mother-n-law) is wonderful and so loving, will open her arms out to anyone! Then Lee (Father-n-law) he helps to show us that you can do anything that you put your mind too! He helps to push us everyday. Now Amie - Another little sister to me right from the start, she adds so much joy into our lives. And finally Jake - He's the little monster that everyone can't resist! He is a super cute kid, but going through those growing pains, but still so loving! But I love them all and am so grateful they are in my life!!

TWO DOWN... Only ONE to go

Yay!!! DUSTIN PASSED with a 90% on his two written tests for his JOURNEYMAN Test!! What a relief! He tried to trick me and came home trying to fight back his smile, and said I failed, but could not hold back his big grin!! I was so happy for him!! A huge weight was takin off his shoulders! He just has one more December 22nd, so we are trying not to celebrate to much...

New CAR!!

Yay! So we got a new car! This actually happened a week ago, Im a little behind but, We have been talking about getting a new vehicle, but just have liked not having a car payment, and we decided we would look spring time next year. But then we came acrossed this Nissan Pathfinder, and I wanted it... I was like a little kid, So excited. But Dustin wanted to be logical and think about it. So we left it. Then the following Monday, Dustin told me to leave early from work... AND TA DA!!! I love it!!! Everyone keeps telling him that now all he needs is a baby! And I couldn't agree with everyone MORE. ha ha!!

UTAH VS BYU

WAHOO!!!! Dustin and I went to the UTAH game this weekend.... It was a BLAST!!! I love spending time with my hubby and what better of a way then the BIGGEST GAME of theYEAR!! UTAH whoopped BYU!



Now we are on egg shells waiting to hear what Bowl game the are going too, Hoping it's the Fiesta Bowl so that we can go!

....ELDER JORDAN DARAS ROBERTS....

He is officially a missionary, and off to serve the great people of GEORGIA, MACON!! Today was a HARD day!! One of those biter sweet moments!! I had to say goodbye to my little bro!! We had a great family breakfast, and shared some great last moments for awhile together, It was hard to see him struggle when it came to say goodbye, and to question if this is what he wanted, In ways I wanted to tell him to stay, but deep down inside I know this is what's right, and what he needs to be doing at this moment. We all took him down to the MTC and got to say our final goodbye's, we ALL bawled like babies!! But I am so proud of Jordan, he is going to be a great missionary, and the people of Georgia will enjoy the spirit that he is bringing with him. I LOVE YOU JORD!

Jordan's Set A Part

Well Jordan is now officially a missionary. Jordan was set a part tonight Tuesday Nov. 18th 9:30 PM.... WOW was that SPECIAL!! All of our family was there for the occassion. We had President Welch & Swenson there too give my brother his blessing, and it was powerful!! It felt like President Welch had known Jordan forever! It's amazing, the spirit was so strong!! Again I am so proud of him!

Jordan Farewell

Sunday the 16th was my little brothers farewell, he gave a talk on Faith. It was such a neat experience to watch and listen to him give his talk. I have just always thought of him as "My LITTLE BRO", this little boy, that doesn't talk much, and enjoys baseball, golfing (with his brothers), his video games & television shows... And I was nervous for him I had never heard him speak in church or anywhere really for that matter, and when he got up there he was a bit nervous, but there was this confidence about him, he started speaking blew us all out of the water, and made me shed some tears (and that wasn't going to be the last set of tears either). But I was so proud of him getting up there looking into the audience and tell us all that he is ready to serve the Lord for his two years!!! We then had an open house, where friends and family came to visit. It was fun to see him with his friends, neighboors, and his loving family! It was a very Special day!

Utah Vs. TCU

YAY!! Sports galore this week, and I am lovin it!! So last night I went to the Utah Vs. TCU football game with Dustin, Josh, Laura and Myself!! We had a blast! They called this the BLACKOUT GAME, all the fans were supposed to were black, and They players got wore a black uniform they were tight (as in awesome).... But Laura and I sat on Row 26, and Dustin and Josh sat in Row 30 (our season ticket seats)... I thought it was going to be freezing, but it wasn't bad, don't get me wrong it was not short leave weather but we bundled up and it was pretty enjoyable actually!!

So I have to admit going into this game I was concerned that Utah may not be able to pull off beating TCU... TCU has one of the best defenses in the nation and through most of the game it wasn't lookin like Utah would get a break, TCU's defense just kept stopping us, doesn't help that our kicker, who's up there on the scale, one of the top, had a major OFF night, BUT in the end we pulled it together, I mean the last few mins of the game, were able to hold them off and WON 13 - 10. So UTAH is still UNDEFEATED!!! 10-0! They should beat San Diego next week and, then, dun dun dun, the big rival, BYU, and hopefully we win cause if so we are going to a BCS game!!!! And we are so there!

Jazz Game

WaHoO!! Go JaZz!! I got 6 tickets to the Jazz vs. Trailblazers game last night from my work, and they were awesome we were on Row 20, which usually we are in the upper bowl... It was Me, Dust, Megan, Josh, Jordan, & Lee, we made it a family FUN night! And you know how The Bear always comes around and silly strings everyone. Well he came into our section and there was a trailblazer fan that he decided would be his candidate for the silly string and the guy was pissed that when the bear walked away he dumped a whole cup of beer on the bears head, So the bear got back at him during the next time out... the bear came running up the stairs, had to dodge the security guards and poured a bucket full of water and totally soaked the guy, the guy was soaked and slipped and fell back into his seat! It was hilarious, and it was awesome cause if was just a few rows behind us... Entertaining!! Well we sure love going to sporting events... And Yay the Jazz WON!

We had to much FUN!

1st Snow Storm..

Aw I love the SNOW, I think that it is so pretty to have white all over... I woke up this morning and I could just hear the snow coming down outside, and Brody was ready to go out and play. Usually I wake up and he stays in bed the whole time I shower & get ready and I have to literally uncover him cause when dustin leaves in the morning he takes his warm spot and dust covers him up (like a baby I know we are nuts)

but so usually I wake him up to let him out before I leave for the day, but NOT this morning, he was waking me up to go out and play... So I dragged my butt out of bed earlier than usual (which was a good thing since the snow) and let him outside... He just started running back and forth, scooping up the snow in his mouth, and kept putting his front paws down and his butt in the air tail going insane and then would "fake bark" (he does this dark with his mouth but nothing come out - hilarious) to come and play...

I was such a fun start for the morning... I felt bad making him come inside for the day. I wished I could have stayed home and played in the snow all day with him...

Ha ha, Halloween is such a fun time to act young again and be whatever you want to... But I have to admit that I can't wait to have kids or neices/nephews to share it with.

2 Years...

Sunday was Dustin and My 2 year anniversary! Wow! It has gone by oh so fast! We have had our ups and downs... But have loved experiencing them all together! It makes us that much stronger!! I feel like I am so lucky to have found Dustin. Thanks to the help of Amber...One Morning & I mean morning (1 a.m.) I get a phone call from a sexy voiced man that I have never met, we talk for a bit, and that continues on for a few day/weeks. Then one night after a Highland High School football game (for him) and Hanging out with friends (for me) we meet, and it was odd, I remember one of the first things he said to me was "Hey cool Shoes"... Ha ha. So we hung out for just a bit. And parted ways. Me saying ah, he is not for me, and Dustin thinking the same thing... And a few weeks later he calls and we start talking again, then Amber, Ricky, Myself, & Dustin all go on a dates, a haunted house, the Big Ass Show... And it just slowly progressed from their. We dated through my whole senior year, and he started college, I graduated and started going to college with him, and we both worked. Dustin then begame his career as an Electrician, while getting is college degree, which he has now completed his 4 years of Electricial school, and is that much closer to his goals. I have pretty much worked in accounting, and some how have enjoyed it (considering math was my LEAST favorite subject.. lol) So after 4 years of dating He finally popped the question June 30, 2006... And were married October 26, 2006. After getting married we moved to a condo in Tooele, and then purchased a home March of this year and have loved every minute of having a place to call our OWN. We are now starting to create a " our family". And are excited for that next step in life, and who better to share it with than MY HUBBY, who i love so much, he is so sweet to me, and still to this day knows how to make me laugh, he uses it to much to his advantage actually, when I am mad he just looks at me with this "grin" and I can't help but laugh even though I really am upset...But anyways I am one of the luckiest women, to have such a loving husband. It's fun to look back at the 6 years of being together, and think of the many many more to come!!

Well It's been so long since I have made an entry. So to catch up, we purchased a new car this weekend to replace our two that we no longer have, It's nothing special, but it's paid off, It's going to be Dustin's work car, and I am looking into getting a new car within the next few months, I want a "Mommy car" which for me is an SUV, Something with more room for the future. Speaking of the future, Dustin has been studying so hard this past weekend cause Tuesday & Saturday he takes his state tests for his Journeyman card, I am trying to stay calm for him so he doesn't have any more pressure on him than he already puts on himself, but that is hard, so keep him in your thoughts and prayers that he will do well because that helps determine our next big step... ;) But I will up date you all on how it went.

Update..

Just thought I would update about all the vehicles since I have nothing to blog about, boring times! Any way, The Honda is being fixed no problems... The maxima on the other hand, the gal that hit me, her insurance company is being SLOW and still has not accepted liability :( I have had 3 adjusters go and look at the car, and I think they are claming it as a total loss... Which means they will more than likely total it. Which is a bummer!! Can't beat a just about paid off car. But I am hoping that we can get everthing worked out this next week, so that we can move on.

TALK ABOUT BAD LUCK!!!

Ok, so TODAY started off on the WRONG foot. I was leaving my house to go to work this morning and was at an intersection in my neighborhood and a car full of teenagers came whipping through the intersection and well... BOM! Car accident! It was bad, but thank goodness no one was injured to badly. Our poor cars, I am waiting now for the tow truck to come and pick this one up from my house... OUR MAXIMA Now, the other crappy part to the equation.... Yesterday MY HONDA was taken in the shop cause.....

It was in an accident over the weekend. We were stopped at a light and the turning lane turned green, and the car behind us went and rear ended us... SO now TWO CARS... My Honda is 3,600 in damage, to begin.... SO i don't even want to know the Maxima's....

So I am really hoping OUR luck turns around soon!

Eventful

So last night was an eventful night!

I went through so many emotions, I swear everything hits at once, Well to start out my youngest brother Jordan received his mission call yesterday so we all gathered together for the opening and... bum bum bum, he is going to the Georgia - Macon mission, he leaves Nov. 19, exciting and sadening all at the same time. Atleast we have three months to prepare before he leaves. I am so proud of him.

Then, I went from that news, to saying goodbye to my adorable brother-n-law Jake, He's moving to St. George to go to school at Dixie. Im really going to miss him, he brings lots of laughter & joy into our lives! Im looking forward to seeing him grow. And hey it also, gives us reason to get away and go visit! :)

So, then after the tears and the happiness that was behind the tears, I get news from a family friend that she had an ultrasound Monday, and is... HAVING TWINS! WOW! This will be her fourth and fifth baby! Her last one just barely turned 1, so three in a row! But it was exciting news!

Well, I will sum up by saying that I am so proud of my Brothers for making these BIG steps for there future! I love them!!

It's DONE

Yay, it's official our backyard is now complete. The sod is laid, the tree is planted, and now it's time to sit back and enjoy! We have to keep it watered like crazy for the next week and all so we just have to look from a distance and admire our hard work, but know that it has been SO WORTH IT! And I think we may be blessed, the weather is supposed to be a bit cooler this weekend so it won't take as much of a toll on the lawn so that it can root. Now, it's time to try and relax just a bit, before diving into the on going projects that come with owning a home :)

Closing the Weekend

Ok, If you haven't gone to see Mamma Mia, I strongly suggest it... I just absoluetly LOVED it!!! I have seen the musical which is just SO MUCH FUN, but the movie was good too... I makes me want to get up and dance and sing... "Dancing Queen". So anyways, that was our friday night adventure. Then saturday Dustin ended up having to work, so I got stuck doing yard work alone. But oh well, cause it's one step closer. I also went to the farmers market early in the morning, that was a neat experience, So may different people and their dogs, they have some of the best fruits and veggies, It was fun, and I will definately be going back. Then Me, my hubby, and our good friend Randy and Brit wen to dinner, to Iggi's, it was our first time really going there I thought it was rather tasty, then we came back to our place and watched 21, it was good. But now, it's sunday and we are preparing for another week of work. So hope you all have a good week. Loves!

Yard Work

This weekend we are hoping to plant a tree and a few bushes and flowers in our backyard and make sure that the rest is all level, cause we have been busting our butts, and the next step is... GRASS!! We can't wait to get our grass laid, It has gone from 4 feet tall weeds (from when we moved in) to ready for sod. Man, it's hard work but it's such a fun accomplishment. Brody will love it too! So, will I, Brody goes and lays out in the sun, in the dirt and brings it into my house, so I am constantly cleaning him, the floors, ect., man it's bad, so im hoping it will calm down a bit once the grass is in. Then I can concentrate on the next step....Bom Bom Bom

Becoming a Blogger....

Ok... I made my blog a while back, and posted a few times, and that was it... But now that EVERYONE else mainly blogs I'm now going to become a blogger myself, Keep everyone up on the times. Ha ha... I crack myself up sometimes.

Longtime overdue

Well this has been a long time overdue... I moved into our home and have been busy ever since. I have painted a portion of my home. And decorated a bit, and just working daily and coming home to an excited jumpy Brody that just wants lots and lots of attention! The nicest part about our home is the BIG park across the street we go and play over there and Brody loves to play fetch. And all the little kids around the neighborhood will come over and throw the balls for him. But that's the update so far in our life.

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter!!

Well It's been another busy weekend of putting our house together, Having my grandparents over, playing RockBand til 4 AM, & dealing with Car issues.... we are extremely exhausted.
But YAY it's Easter and a day with family, We are having Josh and Meg, Kirsten, My Father-n-law Lee, and Brother-n-law Jakey over, I am going to make a Dijon Pineapple glazed Ham... Sounds tasty huh!?! :)

Well, It's been a crazy weekend, it's had it's ups and downers... We were notified this morning that some PUNKS graphitied on our fence...:( Major bummer, I am extremely upset about it! Also, we are hoping that Dustins truck does not cost us a fortune. So keep your fingers crossed for us!

The Move is COMPLETE

Ok... So it's now Tuesday and the move into our new home is complete!!

We moved almost everything this weekend, except for our bedroom and did that on Monday. We are almost all unpacked, and exhausted.

But now the fun begins... I am so excited to be able to decorate, and paint a bit. Its all I can think about right now, I have been dreaming of how it's all going to look.

But I will post some pics at some point.

FINALLY!!

The Nightmare has ended! We have now closed on our new home! I am so excited to get the keys (which we are hoping happens tonight), and start moving in tomorrow! YaY!
